Jane Mussared
Jane is an experienced senior and chief executive across a range of not-for-profit environments and is currently the CEO of the Maggie Beer Foundation Pty Ltd, a charity devoted to the importance of good food as we age.
Throughout her employment and Board careers, Jane led human and social services across the lifespan. She has also worked as a Canberra-based advisor to the Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care, the chief executive of a consumer peak body, an operational executive of a large not-for-profit aged care provider and as the Manager of a state government funding and policy office.
Jane is also an experienced board director and chair. Currently, she serves on the board of the SA Council of Social Services (SACOSS) and the Social Worker Registration Board of SA. Previously, she chaired the South Australian Circus Centre (home of Cirkidz) and was a non-Executive Director with the Maggie Beer Foundation. She has also served on many national and state advisory groups, including as a consumer representative on the Registry of Senior Australians (ROSA), the Essential Services Commission of SA and the Centre of Research Excellence in Frailty and Healthy Ageing.
Jane Mussared knows national and state policy and funding environments well, is an effective and influential advocate and has run successful campaigns to win government, philanthropic and business support. Jane values integrity, innovation and kindness, and is committed to supporting others to meet their goals and do good work for our community.
Jane has a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Away from work, she loves nothing better than wandering Australia and the world, discovering emerging artists and chilling with family and friends.
